The finance survey has been carried out by former Youth Mayor, Jocelyn – its primary aim is to inform young people with financial education within PSHEE lessons, specifically targeting an age-specific demographic.

Within the youth council, we believe developing healthy personal financial habits is essential for a secure and happy future. So far, a young people and educator’s finance survey has been carried out and is currently in the process of analysation to present to Southend’s councillors.

Consequently, financial literacy workshops that can then be distributed to schools, can educate young people in an engaging manner. We are very excited to be working together to improve the curriculum in schools across Southend.
